Report says that, Rescuers in Bangladeshi have pulled 30 passengers from the river Padma after a ferry capsized 44 miles north of the capital, Dhaka, with more than 100 people on board, police said.
Low-lying Bangladesh, with extensive inland waterways and a poor safety record, suffers regular ferry disasters, often with significant loss of life.
In Sunday’s incident, rescuers pulled the body of a baby from the water and were searching for additional survivors.
