Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to star in the upcoming Marvel movie, “Doctor Strange”.

After much speculation earlier in the year, Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to star in the upcoming Marvel movie, “Doctor Strange”.

After his epic stint in the movie, “12 Years A Slave”, Chiwetel’s fans are eager to see the Oscar nominee star in new movies. And he is not disappointing them as he is playing Dr Stephen’s arch nemesis, Baron Mordo, in the new movie.

Peeking into what is to come, it is refreshing to know that Chiwetel’s character, Baron Mordo, is a villain created by Stan Lee and Steve Dikto. Baron Mordo first debuted in comic books from Marvel in the August 1963 first issue of “Strange Tales” – a disciple of the Ancient One whose plan was to kill his teacher.

His plan was foiled by a new student, Stephen Stranfe and this leads to Strange earning Mordo’s undying wrath.

The 37-year-old Ejiofor will be reunited with his fellow “12 Years A Slave” star, Benedict Cumberbatch, who played ‘William Prince Ford’ in the award-winning movie. Tilda Swinton will be joining them too in “Dr Strange”.

The movie is scheduled for release in more than a year’s time, on November 4, 2016, and will be directed by Scott Derickson who directed movies like “The Exorcism Of Emily Rose” and “The Day Earth Stood Still”.
