Escaped convict shot dead by police, in hunt for fellow escapee

A report about convicted killer who broke out of  New York prison three weeks ago was shot to death by the police on Friday, authorities said, they are  still hunting for his fellow escapee.

Richard Matt, was killed in the northern section of new York called  Malone, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the Canadian border,  said officials.

The file with the  combination of booking photos which was received on June 7, 2015, with the remark of the office of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, shows convicted murderers Richard Matt and David Sweat. Richard Matt, 49, who broke out of New York prison three weeks ago was shot dead by authorities on June 26, 2015, police said, as they continued to hunt for his fellow escapee. The Superintendent of New York State Police  Joseph D’Amico said, the authorities found Matt close to  a cabin after he apparently had fired at a passing camper van. Click here to continue
